Artemis was established in 2022 as a spin-out of the buyside and market intelligence divisions of a boutique investment bank.
We’d spent the past 5 years helping private equity and strategic acquirers deploy billions into lower mid-market M&A deals in digital and consulting . As these sectors took off, particularly through the Pandemic, we deployed, refined, deployed and further refined our team, process and data sets to help these clients identify, assess and engage best fit, actionable targets in the sector and deliver smart transactions.
Independence offered a dual opportunity.
We could continue to develop our deep, proprietary data sets and extensive market relationships to generate more transactions for the buyside (no longer tied to a traditional sell-side agenda hardwired to multilateral auctions). Or we could pursue a modern, holistic buyside M&A origination agenda founded on tech, trust and talent:
We believe smart M&A deals can be consistently generated through programmatic, insight-driven target identification and an entrepreneurial approach to assessment and pursuit of the resulting opportunities. And we have the track record to prove it.
The playing field for M&A in the Knowledge Economy is vast and competitive. Targets are opaque and elusive. Whatever your in-house origination resource, our dedicated, sector-focused, tech-enabled team can partner with you to give you the edge. With 100% knowledge economy sector focus, custom-built technology and thousands of long-term relationships with owners and advisors, we can help lead you to the smartest deals.
Artemis' methodology is intensive, transparent and effective. We use sector experience and proprietary data sets to help refine initial specifications then move into a weekly cadence of interactive sessions to longlist and prioritize targets.
Our target engagement rates are well above average. After all, why wouldn't owners respond to experts in their sector approaching a handful of firms with the greatest mutual opportunities after weeks of iterative search and assessment?
We work throughout the investment cycle: anywhere or everywhere from thesis to close. We are 100% buyside with deep sector insight and origination expertise. We build successful long-term relationships with smart buyers and investors.
